Laurin Weissinger

    Laurin Weissinger is the Cyber Fellow at Yale Law School. He started dabbling with computers at age 7. After graduating from 5¼ inch and 3½ inch floppies and breaking some stuff in the process, he started working in IT operations at age 16. Last year, he completed an intensive five-year study on trust in security communities, concluding his DPhil/PhD at the University of Oxford. His research focusses on trust assurance, cybercrime, risk, and security policy. He has also been involved in internet governance. He co-teaches an interdisciplinary course on cybersecurity at Yale Law, teaching law students the basics of OS design, terminal operations, networking, and hacking.
