Hire Ground is a two-day, career focused track to provide the community with the tools needed for career search and overall career planning. This is not a typical career event but an opportunity to interact with recruiters and mentors to help job seekers who are looking for a career change. How much you get back from Hire Ground depends on how much you put into Hire Ground. Hire Ground is adjacent to the Chill Out room.
Hire Ground consists of four parts:
Talks and panels: Presentations are aimed at helping job seekers better understand recruiting and hiring practices; how to improve their chances in being recruited, interviewed and hired; and how better to manage their careers.
Resume Review: Participants have the skills that many companies are looking for but they may not how to present this information to stand out or to explain their experience to non-technical audience. Recruiters will be on hand to provide comments and edits that they recommend to increase your chances in a career search.
Career Coaching: These are one-on-one 30 minute sessions to assist with short and long range career plans that Participants can sign up for at Hire Ground registration.
Networking: More than 50% of the time in Hire Ground is set aside for job seekers to network with Hire Ground sponsors.
Hire Ground is an innovative community event that focuses on providing both hiring companies and job seekers with value through networking activities and focused content sessions.But you have to do your part as well. Come with your questions, an inquiring mind and copies of your resume.
